Cartoon Eye Rig Maya
Key concepts we'll be working on:
Today, we will rig a cartoony eye.
Some new concepts and deformer in this tutorial, with the first use of a Lattice system and how to manage it in the rig.
For this tutorial, we’ll create a rig with controls for look orientation, eyelid controls and also a global cartoony deformation of all the eye.
There are a classicle rigging part first and then we will work on two dynamic system, one for the iris / pupil and one for the global deformation.
In theses videos, we'll cover the following points:
_How we organize ourselves with pivot and controls
_how to skin correctly the eyelid and enable specific options
_How to use correctly a lattice in the rig
_How to create a dynamic projection between two mesh
_Clean and finalize the rig
